Lorenzo Boone Named 2017 Flight School Fellow

Soul Pitt Media congratulates Lorenzo Boone on his acceptance into the prestigious 2017 Flight School Fellowship, a competitive professional development program run by Pittsburgh Filmmakers/Pittsburgh Center for the Arts (PF/PCA). As the only African-American fellow in this year’s cohort, Lorenzo’s inclusion is especially celebrated by the community. His short film *Woogie* is featured on Soul Pitt TV for audiences to enjoy.

The Flight School Fellowship is a 10-week program designed to equip regional artists with the tools, confidence, and networks they need to thrive in their creative careers. Selected through a rigorous jury process, fellows engage in workshops, discussions with prominent artists, and professional development sessions centered around goal-setting and career advancement. The program is supported in part by the Heinz Endowments and incorporates training from Creative Capital, a national nonprofit that empowers artists across the country.
